In the beginning of August 2013, almost 13 schools in Whittemore Park followed Personal Digital Initiative Learning program which advocated the use of iPads/ Macs to the faculties as well as the students for enhancing academic as well as extra curricular performances. With the so-called differentiated learning curriculum, the social media activities of the students are being tracked which allows them to read the contents of the article and yet the individual  would come out the assessment report. Unlike the usual “teachers commenting and correcting” the grades, the assessment is solely based on the sophisticated software that has been programmed, in-distinctively. Now, that is called as an impartial system!!

Towards the end of the break or the interval period, a software notifies that it is time for the “back-benchers” to move forward and use the Mac devices to their use and in completing their specified portions. Of course, there are glitches in the system, some of them which are particularly minute to be mentioned.

Apart from schools in Whitemoore, there are a lot more schools in the district who have gained a lot of support from the higher authorities for introducing technology to the educational institutions for academic benefits. Educational elements and software tools, which are of high standard and highly professional are being designed and implemented by the software professionals for supporting this notion. But many parents have turned into critics as they strongly believe that the usage of tech-savvy tools like tablets and Macs are going to diversify their children in the wrong path and others think that, it would be a great financial responsibility, if the electronic device is not handled properly leading to issues like breakage and eventually causing the academic details to be erased or permanently deleted.
